Fleischmann Battleship "Karlsruhe" - Model from the First World War (Item No. 72760)

Fleischmann Battleship "Karlsruhe" - Model from the First World War (Item No. 72760)

Rare battleship model "Karlsruhe" circa 1920 with ram bow - 43 cm - clockwork drive

For sale is a particularly well-preserved, hand-painted tinplate battleship from around 1920, named "Karlsruhe". The model features a striking ram bow and measures approx. 43 cm in length .

The removable deck provides access to the original clockwork drive, which is in fully functional condition . The ship is overall in very good, largely original condition , with only minimal paint and age marks , as is typical for an object of this age.

The railing is slightly loose in one place , but this does not affect either the appearance or the function. The dinghies were added at a later date and fit in stylistically well.

A high-quality collector's item for lovers of historical tin toys.

Tradition & Expertise in the Toy Trade

I discovered my passion for tin toys and enamel signs early on, and gained my first experience at flea markets and trade fairs.
In 1986, I turned my hobby into a profession – the foundation for Tintoy-World, which has also been active on eBay since 1996. With decades of experience and expertise, I have established myself as one of the leading dealers for tin toys and am now a well-established figure in the industry.
