Schuco Donald Duck Hand Sample Prototype Pre-War (73527)

An extraordinary piece of history, both for the company and the era: a Schuco prototype of the very first Donald Duck model from the pre-war period .
Never put into series production – an absolute unique item , guaranteed to be one of a kind.

Made in the Schuco factory in the 1930s, this Donald already shows the characteristic wings and a fully developed head. The body is made of painted wood , originally hand-painted in a very beautiful finish. Mechanics were not yet foreseen at this stage of development; the figure charmingly bows forward. Height: 12 cm.

The provenance of this object makes it even more significant : As part of a collector's estate sale, we were able to acquire this unique set of 4 prototypes . These are heirlooms of a former Schuco employee who worked in product design in the 1930s - including for the famous Schuco Donald Duck models.

This piece therefore combines not only rarity, but also historical authenticity and documented origin – a collector's item of museum quality that makes Schuco's creative development work immediately tangible before the start of series production.
